Rome is my favorite place in the world, except for Sanibel, and my house obviously, and you have to include L.A. too because you have to love LA, but after all of the obvious places, Rome is one of my very favorites. I love all of the little caffe’s, and temples, and ruins of Rome, they’re all so perfect. But the best thing in Rome is the food, especially the Gelato.

Now, American food is great and all and so is Indian and Chinese and etc. But none of that is like Italian food it’s just so buttery and salty, and plain delicious. 🙂 So you can see how I like Italian food but just don’t get me started on the desserts and especially one, Gelato. Creamy, sweet, sugar coated, better than ice cream, Gelato. We got it in Rome almost every day with my grandparents.

We’ve gone to ancient Roman temples for a day but my favorite ancient architecture is called the Coliseum. This unique building is my favorite because it has so much history that we know or think is true about the ancient Romans. But there is even more out in the ruins. Think about our regular homes today. What if there was a rock that looks cool on your counter and you ignored it for years but it might be a missing piece to complete some ancient artifact.

I love to learn how the Romans lived and made all of these breathtaking temples without so much as a single modern machine to do the work. There is soo much to see in Rome and I can’t wait to find out more in Greece.
